Twilight.

I have a new obsession.

I've been hearing rave reviews about this book for the past couple months. I was slightly intrigued but I never felt compelled to read it because of the fact that the book was about vampires (vampires aren't really my thing).

One day at work, one of my Dad's assistants, Anna, asked me if I had heard of the book. Apparently, the book takes place in Forks, Washington; a town close to where I am in Sequim. Anna lives in Forks and had received a note from her daughter's teacher saying that the desciption of the house the vampires lived in described her house exactly! Then, I went and looked up the book online and come to find out, the author graduated from BYU!

I bought the book the next day and could not put it down; I was hooked. I read the entire 500 page book in 24 hours and started reading it again right when I finished. It is so good! I can't even put into words how great the book is.

Ally and my mom are obsessed with the book too and on Monday, we went down to Forks and had a "Twilight" day.

The Cullen's House (where the vampires live)
The book describes it as a white, 3-story, 100 year-old house with a meadow like lawn along the Sol Duc river outside of town.

Forks High School

Bella Italia in Port Angeles... mushroom ravioli wasn't on the menu.

Newton's Olympic Outiftter (really called Forks Outfitters)

Thriftway: Where Bella buys her groceries.

We're going to go down to La Push to see First Beach next time Ally and I are in town.

This book really is amazing. There is a second one out called "New Moon" (which I finished in about 24 hours as well and am about to read again) and a third one called "Eclipse" which comes out in August. I highly recommend everyone to go out and buy it right now... you will not regret it.

Just a warning to you though. You WILL become obsessed with it and you WILL fall in love with Edward Cullen.

More from Forks.

Here are some more pictures we took while in Forks.
These pictures were taken at Anna's house on their bridge which goes across the Sol Duc River.

I never realized how pretty and green Washington is until now. In August when the entire family will be in Sequim, we plan on getting some family portraits taken here.

Red Door.

I realized that I forgot to include this picture with all my other pictures from Europe.
I came across this red door outside an art gallery we stopped at on a side street in Croatia and thought it was so cute. I wish I had a red door of my own.

New Shoes.

I've been in search of a pair of brown wedges for the last couple of months. While I was at the mall last Saturday, I finally found what I wanted and bought them right away. It wasn't until I was on my way home that I noticed what brand they were... Carlos Santana? Apparently Carlos Santana has his own line of women's shoes, and they're cute too. Who knew?

Memory Lane.

On Saturday, my family and I took a ferry down to the Seattle/Bellevue area for the day. While my parents did their thing, Ally and I spent about 3 hours at Bellevue Square Mall where I bought a pair of shoes (see post above) and a shirt; Ally got nothing. Later, we met up with the parents for a delicious lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. Yum.

Afterwards, we went over to Issaquah to take a trip down memory lane. We lived in Issaquah for only a year back when I was 7. I was surprised see how much I recognized the area and remembered how to get around.
This was our house in Issaquah.
