Festival of Colors.

Late again.
We were walking towards the festival when suddenly a giant cloud of color went up in the air. Missed it.
No worries. Paul and I still had a good time and managed to get some color on us from pushing through the crowds.

Next year we'll be on time.

Dishes.

Why do I get so worked up about a messy kitchen and sink a full of dirty dishes?
I've never considered myself a clean freak, not at all.
But here I am, 3rd night in a row, can't sleep because I'm too busy obsessing about the dirty kitchen below me.
The thing is, it's not even my mess!

Its not my week's worth of dishes piled in the sink and on the counter.
I didn't cook the food or cut up the fruit that that left the mess all over the stove and counters.
I wasn't the one who dropped the cereal and popcorn crumbs on the floor and didn't bother to sweep it up.

Most of the time, I'll just clean it all up so I can get on with my life and stop obsessing about it.
But this week, I decided I wasn't going to clean up after the roommates anymore.
I would only clean my stuff and wait for someone else to take the initiative to clean up the kitchen.
Still waiting. Still can't sleep.

In conclusion, roommates, if you are reading this right now, would you PLEASE clean up your after yourselves? Always.
You're literally keeping me up at night.

P.S. A special thank you to whoever took out the trash yesterday. Much appreciated.
P.P.S. I still love you all. I'm just really tired...

Caught.

For some reason, I have never, ever told Paul this blog exists.
We've even had multiple conversations about blogs and every time, I never mentioned that I had my very own blog.
(a blog in which he has been the feature of numerous times)
Why, you ask?
I have no clue. Really. No good reason.
I always planned to tell him about it... eventually.

But, last weekend he discovered it all on his very own.
He was quite surprised to randomly stumble upon it and see multiple postings about him. haha.
So, now he knows.

On that note, here's another picture.
Its from his last visit here.
I made him do crafts with me... not sure if he had as much fun as I did.
P.S. He'll be here this weekend.

Since I've been gone #4

Since I don't really have anything new and exciting to report, I figured I would continue filling in the blanks of what's been going over the last couple months...

Ally and I turned 21.

And we threw an awesome party at this swanky restaurant/lounge here in Provo called Spark. The party was complete with mocktails,
fancy hors d'oevures (carrot ginger soup shooters with coconut foam, anyone?) and lots of dressed-up friends.
It was the best time.
Nothing like having a rockin' party with 50 of your closest friends to remind you how good you've got it.

If the party is any indication of how the rest of the year is going to be, then 21 is going to be a great year.

Is it bad that...

I just ate two entire boxes of Girl Scout cookies in less than two days?
(Tagalongs and Samoas, just in case you're wondering)

We make a cute couple.

He came to visit me this weekend. Yay.

Since I've been gone #3

I got in a car crash. Ouch.
It was all the way back in January, the first week of the semester.

The weather was bad. It had been blizzarding for days and not to mention my car was not exactly fit to be driving in the snow.
My tires are HORRIBLE (they haven't been replaced for at least 5 years, maybe longer) and something was up with my anti-lock breaks too.

So, I was driving down a hill when I slipped on some ice, lost control of the car and CRASHED right into a parked car.

It gets worse...
The car I crashed into, was a POLICE CAR.
That's right, a police car.
And, I was on my way to the gym at the time so I had to wait outside in the snow for over an hour in shorts and a t-shirt.

Not my finest hour.

Love this.

It's embarrassing how entertained I am by this video.

I've been watching it multiple times a day for weeks now.
And then I hum and sing it all day long.
Don't judge me.

California.

Highlights from the Trip
Paul waiting for me at the gate right when I got off the plane.
(his flight got in a half hour before mine)

Going to Fairfield and still knowing my way around.
(impressive considering I haven't lived there since I was 11)

Seeing my old house and elementary school.

Eating In-N-Out for the very first time.

Paul teaching me how to drive a stick-shift in the parking lot of my old gymnastics gym.
(I still need a lot of practice)

Visiting the Zumpanos.
(So good to see them. So much better than I even imagined it would be)

Many delicious home-cooked meals courtesy of Paul's sister and sister-in-law.

The sunshine and warm weather of California.
(Didn't even need to bring a coat)

Meeting and hanging out with three of Paul's siblings and playing with 10 of his nieces and nephews.

Eating Thai Food.
(My new favorite. I need to find a place nearby to go and get some every now and then. Or daily...)

Sleeping.

Going to church right next to the Sacramento temple.

Lots of relaxing and doing nothing.

Paul walking me to my gate as I boarded the plane.
(his flight left 2 hours after mine)

Seeing Paul.
________________________________________________________________
Downsides of the Trip
The fact that these are the only two pictures I took the entire weekend.
(from my visit with the Zumpanos)

Coming home to blizzarding weather in Provo.

Saying good-bye to Paul.

Since I've been gone #2

Here's something else you may have missed during my little blogging hiatus:

This is Paul.We were set up on a date back in November when my twin sister was dating his roommate. It went very well. He picked me up in a limo. 'Nuff said.
But, in January he moved up to Portland to work for Intel for awhile. Sad. He's nice enough to come and visit me every couple weekends though. Tomorrow we're meeting up in California to spend the weekend with some of his family in Folsom and visit Fairfield where I used to live.
Can't wait.

Comments.

I've decided that if I'm going to be coming back to the blogging world, I'm going to require something from all of you. Comments. The lack of comments on my blog is shameful. So, if you're reading this right now you should probably leave a comment.
Bring it.

Since I've been gone #1

So, much has happened in the past 7 months that I have failed to update. I am determined to play catch-up and get updated on all the highlights of all that has happened.
Here is something new:
I got this.

That's right. I am now a Mac user.
All semester Ally's computer has been acting up and was basically worthless. Instead of wasting her time with it she just borrowed my computer most of time. One day she had a little "accident" with it involving a glass of water. Whoops. The computer was dead.
A few days later I went out and got the Mac as a replacement. Good choice. Plus, since I'm a student I got a free printer with it. Score!

Anyways, more updates to come later. For now, I have to go write my personal statement for Dental School applications. It is due in approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes and I have yet to start it!
(I have thought about it a little bit though. And isn't it the thought that counts? I hope the dental schools think so...)

I'm back?

September 23rd.
That was the last time I posted something. Even then, that post was just an inside joke between Heidi and I. So technically the last time I wrote was July 14th. About 7 months ago. Yikes.
So now, I'm thinking maybe I'll come back. Maybe? Maybe not?
We'll see...
